It isn’t really easy to let go of memories. It isn’t easy to watch your love go away from you. It seems so hard to face the future when the person you have learned to love is no longer beside you. It is really heartbreaking that’s why there are those who suffer from depression. Others may even have suicidal tendencies. Survival after a bitter breakup seems so cloudy but you might get over it faster with the help of the following tips on how to survive a bitter breakup.

  • Give yourself time to grieve over the separation. The healing process actually starts with this. You have to let it sink it and face it. It may cause an excruciating pain but it is pretty normal.
  • Accept that the relationship is over. Don’t be in denial stage like what others do. They can’t accept the truth so they try to deceive themselves which is not right.
  • Forgive yourself and your ex. Forgiveness will help you ease the pain and heal the wound left by the breakup. Stop blaming yourself or your ex.
  • Leave the past behind. After you have forgiven yourself, it’s now time to move on to the future and just leave what happened in the past.
  • Try a new hobby. Aside from keeping yourself busy, you can also start a new hobby to help you move on faster.

Keep positive thoughts. Fight the negative thoughts that try to consume you. Bear in mind that you can get over it and that you will find someone better in God’s time. A bitter breakup plus the pain shall pass.
