date someone who just got out of a relationshipDating someone who has just gotten out of a relationship can be a little complicated. You aren’t sure whether the person you date with is serious with you or you are just in a rebound relationship. Nobody wants to be in this kind of relationship. Nobody wants to be used. Once you find out that you are being used by someone, it can be a depressing experience. But you should understand that the person who just got out of a relationship is going through a process of healing his/ her broken heart. It isn’t easy to mend a broken heart. Many people have been there and they know how hard it is. People who just stepped out of a relationship cannot commit themselves to someone new right away. They tend to be incapable of having a new and healthy relationship. If you are trying to build a relationship with a person who is in this kind of scenario, you might find it hard to make it work. However, you can increase your chance of making it work with some instructions and tips.

  • Daters in this kind of situation should not expect much from the person and the relationship. Having too much expectation will only make it hard for you to move on once it fails. Don’t be too serious but don’t play with it. Just enjoy what you have at the moment.
  • Understand the person you date with. Instead of pushing him/ her to love you back, help him/ her to heal what has been broken. When the person misses your plans or dates, forgive him/ her.
  • Talk about your conditions. While you understand that the person is still in the process of moving on, there should be limitations. He/ She should not be allowed to have a constant communication with his/ her ex.
  • Take it slow. It’s always good to take precautions at the start of this relationship. Allow the person to have enough time to heal the wound created by the breakup. Allow him/ her to realize your worth as a partner. This will also allow you to get to know the person well.

Just shower the person attention and make him/ her feel that you care for him/ her. If you are meant for each other, you will reap the fruits of what you have sown.
